LMCs interact and work with – and through – the General Practitioners Committee (GPC) of the British Medical Association (BMA). The GPC hold a UK LMCs Conference each year as well as a separate conference for each of the home nations e.g. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The annual UK LMC conference was held on 10 and 11 May in York at the Barbican Centre.

This year, the annual conference of LMCs in England took place on Thursday 24 November 2022 and a special conference took place on Friday 25 November. The purpose of the special conference was to discuss a vision for English General Practice with which to negotiate a new GP contract in 2024.

The Annual Conference of Representatives of LMCs (UK) 2024 is due to take place on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 May 2024 in Newport, Wales. The Annual Conference is a unique opportunity to enable the collective, professional voice of LMCs, GPs, and their practice teams across the United Kingdom to be heard.
