Meet The Team

Michael Wright - Chief Executive

Michael joined the LMC in September 2013 as Head of Liaison. On 1 April 2016, he became Chief Executive following the retirement of Chris Locke at the end of March 2016.

Michael is an experienced medical manager with previous roles in locum practice management, Clinical Commissioning Group, GP practice management, project management in the out-of-hours arena and in a previous life Michael served in the Royal Air Force within the medical branch.

Dr James Hopkinson - Medical Director

Dr James Hopkinson has been a GP Partner in Calverton for 22 years. He has been a local clinical leader for many years – including being chair of NNE CCG and Joint Chair of Notts and Nottinghamshire ICS.

He is also dual trained – working as a consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine at NUH until he became CCG chair. James is passionate about General Practice being the bed rock of the NHS, and is motivated to protect GPs and General Practice for the benefit of our local population. When not working James runs to keep fit, and is a keen snowboarder.

Lucy Cassidy - Head of Liaison

Lucy joined Nottinghamshire LMC in 2018 after working for 10 years in the Independent Sector in a variety of operational and administrative roles. With a Master’s Degree in Public Health and having worked previously as a Clinical Audit/Research and Development Facilitator, Lucy brings this knowledge and experience with her in this role.

Stuart Hague - Practice Liaison Officer

Stu joined Nottinghamshire LMC in September 2019 after serving 22 years in the Royal Air Force, undertaking varying Practice Management roles in primary and Occupational Health, to co-ordination of strategic Aeromedical Evacuations. With a BSc (Hons) in Health & Social Care management, Stu hopes to bring his extensive healthcare knowledge and experience to his role.

Emma Wiklo - Practice Liaison Officer

Emma joined Nottinghamshire LMC as Practice Liaison Officer December 2021. She has an extensive healthcare background working within primary care in Nottingham City with over nine years’ experience working in various non-clinical roles and more recently as Practice Manager for four years.

Janet Chester - Senior Finance Officer

Janet is our longest serving member of staff and has been with the LMC since 1993. She is responsible for staff salaries and the office accounts and works part-time.
